Twitter and Facebook were a flurry of activity in January as Jettheads banded together to try to push Joan to #1 for 2013 Album of the Year in the Music Enthusiast Magazine Awards. As the days passed, we slowly brought Joan up from fourth place to nip at Tom Keifer’s heels, who maintained the number one spot most of the time. But a late-game push by Stryper and their fans put Joan (and Tom) out of the running for good.
The votes were close, and the three albums swapped spots with each other multiple times before voting ended on the 20th. In the end, a mere 3.64% separated Joan from the number one spot.

Lita Ford had a slightly better run, making it all the way up to 2nd place in the Best Live Album category, but she was no match for the Def Leppard fans.
