Joan Jett maintains Super Bowl streak, ties record

Joan Jett has done it again!

The Baltimore Ravens beat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII 34-31. Joan predicted them to win 31-28. Her streak is unbroken for the 8th consecutive year!

Joan’s prediction was close to the actual score, but not close enough to win the Scripps’ Super Sage Award. That honor went to Soprano’s actor Tony Sirico:

But she did tie for second place with Vanilla Ice and Erin Burnett. This is the closest Joan has ever come to the actual score.

Joan’s win today ties her with Haley Joel Osment for the record of the longest unbroken winning streak in the poll.

UPDATE – here is Scripps’ story about the 2013 Super Sage Award: http://www.wptv.com/dpp/entertainment/super-bowl-xlvii-tony-sirico-wins-scripps-celebrity-super-bowl-poll

I have updated Joan’s winning stats on the following page, Celebrity Super Bowl Poll Results. I’ve also added interesting trivia about her predictions there. Enjoy!

Congratulations, Joan!
